A guest redeems a deal in the app
Only someone who redeemed a deal at the venue through TasteTown can rate it.
They rate after the visit
Stars and a few words. No names – reviews are anonymous.
We recalculate every Monday
The last 12 months. Deals, plans and partner payments never change the order.
Exactly how we rank
- This ranking covers restaurants only, including pizzerias, burger and sushi restaurants. Cafés, bars, bakeries, pastry shops, kebab and fast food are not part of it; where enough of them qualify, they have their own ranking.
- A venue qualifies with at least 10 ratings in 12 months, a photo, and no closure next week.
- The order is a Bayesian average: (n × the restaurant's average + 50 × 4.91) / (n + 50), where n is the number of ratings and 4.91 is the average of every restaurant in the city. A handful of 5-star ratings can't beat hundreds of great ones. Ties go to more ratings in the last 90 days.
- A chain places at most 2 venues in one ranking.
- 19 venues qualify this week. With 20 or more we show the top 10, with 10 or more the top 5.
